1. Who We Are

Linkage VA Hub ("Linkage", "we", "us", "our") operates the website linkage.ph — a Philippines-based two-sided marketplace connecting international employers with Filipino virtual assistants (VAs). Our registered office is in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data — name, email address, phone number, country of residence.
  • Profile data — professional headshots, intro videos, certificates, work history, skills, bio text.
  • Messaging data — conversations between employers and VAs through our platform messaging system.
  • Payment data — transaction records for stablecoin escrow payments (USDC, USDT, USD1). We do not store private keys or raw card numbers.
  • Usage data — device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited, and interaction patterns.
  • Cookie data — session cookies, preference cookies (e.g., currency selection), and analytics cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

  • Operate and improve the marketplace — matching employers with VAs, displaying profiles, and facilitating hires.
  • Process non-custodial stablecoin escrow payments — funds are held via our payment partner and released only on employer approval of milestones.
  • Communicate with you — service updates, payment receipts, milestone notifications, and support responses.
  • Detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain platform safety.
  • Anonymize and aggregate data for analytics and service improvement.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

As a Philippines-based entity, we comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). We process your data based on: your consent (account creation, profile publishing), contract performance (service delivery, payment processing), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform improvement), and legal obligations (anti-money-laundering regulations applicable to payment processing).

5. Stablecoin & Payment Data

Linkage facilitates non-custodial stablecoin escrow through a regulated payment partner. The escrow flow: employer funds → held in stablecoin (USDC/USDT/USD1) → released upon employer approval. A flat 10% transaction fee is deducted at the point of release. We store transaction records and status but never hold or access your private keys.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • Payment partners — to process stablecoin escrow transactions.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — Supabase (database, auth), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare R2 (file storage).
  • Analytics providers — to understand platform usage and improve our service.
  • Law enforcement — when required by Philippine law or valid legal process.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. Profile data (headshots, videos, certificates) is retained until you delete your account. Transaction and messaging data are retained for 5 years as required by Philippine financial regulations. You may request deletion at any time (subject to legal retention requirements).

8. Your Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion (right to be forgotten).
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, preference cookies for currency display (USD/PHP), and analytics cookies to understand platform usage. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted data at rest via Supabase, and row-level security (RLS) policies. Stablecoin escrow uses smart-contract-level holds with approval-gated release. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords.

11. International Users

Linkage is a Philippines-based platform. If you access our service from outside the Philippines, your data will be transferred to and processed in the Philippines. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.

12. Children's Privacy

Linkage is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
